TEHRAN (IQNA) – Egyptian scholar and researcher Abd al-Razzaq Nawfal had studied agricultural sciences but then was attracted to the field of theology and studied the subject of scientific miracles of the Quran.

He was the first scholar who initiated the idea and discussions about the Quran’s scientific miracles.

In 1935, he discussed the existence of God with one of his colleagues who was an atheist. Afterwards, he did some research on the subject between 1935 and 1957 and then published his first book “Al-Quds Wa Al-Ilm al-Hadith” (Quran and Science of Hadith).

Later, his second book titled “The Quran’s Numerical Miracle” was released.

In this book, Nawfal did not mention many subjects about the Quran’s scientific miracles but he is known as the first person who gave rise to the idea.

Most of his works are in the field of Quranic miracles. They include: “God and New Science”, “Numerical Miracle of Holy Quran”, “Creation of God”, “Miracle of Quran”, “O God!”, “The Quran Is Healing”, “Muslims and Modern Science”, and “Quran and Modern Society”.
